Scuba Lessons Needed Before Going Underwater

Whether it is for a one-time adventure, while on vacation, before you strap on an air tank and fall off a boat, I invite you to realize you need to take scuba diving lessons to insure your safety underwater. To become certified as a diver can take a couple of weeks, depending on the amount of free time, however scuba diving lessons are required before going diving for the first time. You don’t have to get the lessons in before going on vacation, there are many courses available, as you feel compelled to learn how to dive for a brief stint below the surface of the ocean.

If you were to consider by taking scuba lessons, include making sure the person offering the instruction is a certified instructor and that the equipment you will probably rent is in good working condition. I certainly picture you by not being bashful about asking to see an instructor’s certification. because your life is in their hands, and if they are reluctant to show proof that they are certified, find another instructor. One of the keys to diving is taking lessons on how to breathe in divegear. The name itself means self contained underwater breathing apparatus, and there are two basic types. One is the direct method, with which as you exhale the air is vented into the water. The other is a rebreather that removes the carbon dioxide from the exhaled breath and is used mostly by experienced divers for longer sessions under water.

In addition to breathing, controlling buoyancy, and the vision problems created by the refraction of light while under water are also touched on by even the shorter scuba diving lessons you might take while on vacation. These can help a diver maintain their control under water by insuring they can see where they are going.

Wreck scuba diving in the Philippines has been popular since World War II, when many boats from the Japanese Imperial Navy were sunk around the Philippines by the USA. In fact, every year thousands of people go on scuba diving vacations to the Philippines to see these wrecks.

There are certain scuba diving travel destinations that are more popular than others, due to a greater number of more interesting dives. Coron Bay is one of the favored diving resorts, not just in the Philippines but in all of South East Asia due to an abundance of wrecks in that area, many of which are in good condition. It is located in the Busuanga islands in North Palawan. It has twelve sunken ships all in conditions suitable for diving and clear water, giving great visibility. The best diving season in Coron is from May to October, when visibility is at its highest and underwater conditions are perfect. This is also the time when the best tropical marine life can be seen.

The best known diving site around Coron is the Olympia Maru, an old Japanese warship sunk during the Second World War and it is largely still intact, making for a very interesting dive. Due to its great size, the ship could only be fully explored in two or more individual dives. It is filled with exotic marine life and to many it is the best area to go wreck diving in the Philippines.

Many people interested in diving in the Coron Bay area do not choose to stay on Coron Island but instead stay on the tiny Filipino island of Sangat, approximately two kilometers away from Coron Island. Sangat is a popular choice of tourist resort as the tourist trade there is aimed almost entirely at divers, with the facilities to meet diver’s needs.

With a wide number of diving courses available in Coron, such as the PADI Dive Center, it is a good place to learn to dive from the many instructors available for hire. Many of the boats from the Japanese fleet were sunk in this area and some of them are quite easy dives, suitable for beginners, although there are others which may only be suitable for more experienced divers.

Coron features many other attractions to divers and tourists alike with limestone cliffs, unspoiled beaches and freshwater lakes with hot springs.

Some Basic Instructions.

Prior to scuba diving in Malta it would be of help if you achieved some sort of certification. This is not mandatory if you are going with a guide but you may find renting gear difficult if you are on your own and have to certificates to prove that you are suitably qualified.

As you can imagine things can go wrong, or not as you planned when you are in open waters. The thing not to do is panic at such things like a chink in your hose or an unusally big fish in front of you.

If you take instructions from a qualified instructor, however, you can be better prepared in case any of that does happen and that will cause you to more thoroughly enjoy your Malta scuba diving trip.

In my opinion Malta is an excellent location to choose for a scuba diving expedition however don’t forget your camera because you will want something to help you remember just how good it was.

Scuba Dive in Bonaire

Bonaire is world renowned for its excellent scuba diving and is consistently rated among the top shore diving and Caribbean diving locations in the world. Bonaire’s license plates carry the logo Diver’s Paradise (in English).

Dive sites on Bonaire are varied and plentiful. About 60 sites are located around the main island of Bonaire; another 26 sites are located off the adjacent island of Klein Bonaire. The island is ringed by a coral reef which is easily accessible from the shore along the Western and Southern sides. Furthermore, the entire coastline of the island has been declared a marine sanctuary, preserving local fish life.

Dive into the clear and warm waters to see hard corals and other marine life as many times as your heart wishes. The controlled waters of Bonaire have been a boon for the delicate marine eco-system as well as the tourists who enjoy Bonaire diving immensely.
